About Schwartzhund
A small kennel in the Barossa Valley with one goal: to leave the Rottweiler better than we found it.
Where it started
Rottweilers have shared this home since 1987. The Schwartzhund breeders prefix followed in 1994, and in the decades since it has stayed deliberately small — a handful of carefully planned litters rather than a constant production line.
How we breed
Every pairing is planned around health, temperament and breed type, in that order. Parents are hip and elbow scored and JLPP tested, and we are honest about what each dog does and does not offer. Puppies are raised in the house, handled daily, and matched thoughtfully to the homes that suit them.
In the ring and beyond
Showing keeps us accountable. Our dogs compete in ANKC conformation and take part in training and trialling, because a Rottweiler should be as sound in the head as it is on the move. Over 40 years of learning in the canine world sits behind that.
